The Georgian Association of Guides implemented an intensive 3-day training program of communication and professional skills for guides from Kutaisi, which was attended by local practicing guides, in order to increase their qualifications and improve their professional skills.

"The initiative belongs to the chairwoman of the Association of Guides of Georgia, Mrs. Keti Meladze, who offered to conduct an important and interesting training course for local guides, which will contribute to raising their qualifications and improving their professional skills. On behalf of DMO Imereti, I would like to thank Mrs. Meladze and the Georgian Association of Guides for this opportunity, because I believe that it was the highest level of professionalism and attitude towards work. It is an honor for us to be partners and promoters of this organization and specifically of this initiative, and I hope that we will continue to cooperate in the future and not implement one interesting project," said the Head of DMO Imereti - Tato Liluashvili.

"Communication and professional skills of the art of guiding, are one of the most important aspects of formation of the guide as a professional.

The goal of SAGA is to increase professional guiding skills for as many active guides as possible so that Georgia can maintain the high quality of service and meet increased demand towards professionals. Even a short-term course of guide skills allows you to develop professional skills and use them in your favor while hosting international guests." says Keti Meladze, chairman of the Georgian Association of Guides.

An intensive communication skills program was conducted at the DMO Imereti training space in February 2020 for 35 local guides.
